The Atelier Chris Maene
The Atelier Chris Maene is located in Ruiselede, Belgium and includes three main departments– covering an area of 4000 m² :
- Department of the first construction phase: wood storage, custom sawing and building of furniture and cases, rough finishing and veneering
- Department of keyboard construction and finishing of the furniture
- Department of the finishing off: stringing and adjustment, painting of the soundboard and the furniture
The Atelier Chris Maene is specialized in small scale manufacturing of unique handcrafted pianos and restoration of historic instruments
We restore or make replicas of the most iconic fortepianos in music history as well as visionary concert grands for the future.
The Atelier Chris Maene is not a piano factory but an artistic workshop manufacturing or restoring a piano according to your specifications and dreams, as we did already for amongst others star pianist Daniel Barenboim and world famous architect Rafael Viñoly.
